My Poems

Ever since elementary school, I’ve loved writing poems. I remember reading Trees by Joyce Kilmer — we had to memorize it and recite it in front of the class, and it stuck with me ever since. I used to fill my elementary pad with poems, written in pencil, whenever inspiration struck. In quiet moments, I would write — the last time I did so was when I was pregnant, and again when Jacob was born.
