šŸ—“ļøĀ November 2, 2024 – Last Margarita of 2024 šŸ¹āœØ

In our group chat, we talked about going out for dinner on Saturday night. After some back and forth, Grace and I decided to go—everyone else was busy, and honestly, we needed some Mommy time. šŸ’ā€ā™€ļøšŸ’¬

We were planning to hit a Mexican restaurant, but the one we found didn’t serve Caldo de Res. šŸ˜’Ā So we explored other options and ended up at Olive Garden—and no regrets! šŸ˜‚ Their margaritas were amazing! šŸø

We ordered margaritas, appetizers, soup, salad, dessert, and main courses… you name it. We indulged so much we had to cancel one order! šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ

Even though it was just the two of us, we couldn’t stop laughing at how much food we ordered—and yes, we were definitely getting tipsy from those margaritas. 🄓🤣

We wrapped up the night giggling, chatting, and praising how good those drinks were. Cheers to you, Margarita—thanks for the good times! šŸ„‚šŸ’ƒ

šŸ—“ļøĀ November 9, 2024 – Ladies’ Night Out at Mystic! šŸ’ƒāœØ

Dinner for 3, please! Yay for Saturday! To kick off the night, the three of us—me, Mayet, and Grace—went out for dinner. šŸ½ļøĀ We had kebabs at Dangerfield’s, and wow, that garlic sauce was soĀ good! The kebabs, jasmine rice, and vegetables were the perfect combo. šŸ„™šŸššŸ„¦

The ambiance had a light, relaxed vibe that suited us perfectly, and the view overlooking a small pond made it an ideal dinner setting. šŸŒ…Ā We enjoyed soup and salad, but honestly, I was already feeling full halfway through—I could barely finish my meal and had to run to the bathroom twice! šŸš½šŸ˜…

Getting dressed before dinner wasn’t great either. My stomach felt a little bigger than usual, and those tights? Definitely uncomfortable. But I brushed it off as just perimenopause symptoms. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸŒø

🌟 Night Out at Mystic!

When we arrived at Mystic, the vibe was electric! ⚔ After passing through the hotel reception area, we found a booth set up with tons of giveaways. šŸŽĀ We even tried some seltzer and ended up in the photo booth snapping pics! šŸ“ø

Before heading to the ballroom to party, we grabbed some coffee—it wasn’t even 9 PM yet, and I was already ready to crawl into bed. 😓 But those dark mochas worked their magic and wired us for the night! ā˜•šŸ’„

We had such a blast—and thanks to the coffee boost, we danced until 1:30 AM! šŸ•ŗ

šŸ’ƒĀ Grace dropped us off at home, and when I walked in, Mike was waiting for me. šŸ” I was so exhausted that I couldn’t even remember what we talked about… I just crashed! šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«šŸ›ļø

šŸ—“ļø Ā November 23, 2024 – Friendsgiving: The Friendship That Keeps on Giving šŸ§”šŸ‚

The day started with Jacob and me heading to the Walker Art Museum—he wanted to go for a school project. šŸŽØšŸ“šĀ Before going inside, we grabbed brunch. I wasn’t feeling very hungry, so I just had coffee ā˜• while Jacob enjoyed a burger and fries. šŸ”šŸŸĀ He liked it!

Before entering the museum, I went to the bathroom again and remember my short-sleeve jacket feeling a bit tight. šŸ˜…šŸ§„

The featured artist was Sophie Calle, and what struck me most was her work about her mother. šŸ’”Ā She had traveled to Antarctica and buried some of her mom’s belongings there—because her mother had always dreamed of visiting the North Pole. šŸ§ŠšŸ—ŗļøĀ It was such a strange exhibit, but deeply moving. The way she honored her mom through art felt raw, personal, and haunting, specially the bedroom pics..

After wandering through the museum and waiting for Jacob to finish his notes, we headed home to get ready for the party later that afternoon.

🦃 It’s Jane’s Friendsgiving Party!

The Timm family welcomed us into their home and hosted the celebration. šŸ”Ā The food? So much.Ā I was already stuffed before the party even started! šŸ˜…Ā I arrived a little late and honestly can’t remember what I brought, but everything was delicious—especially the lechon belly! šŸ·šŸ”„

We had a blast planning a surprise birthday celebration for Eden. She was completely shocked when Aerin walked in through the front door with a candle-lit birthday cake! šŸŽ‚šŸ•Æļø

Jane also had everyone create their own Christmas dĆ©cor, and each one showed off our unique creativity. šŸŽ„āœØ

To wrap up the night, we did Tarot card readings—and oh boy, whether they were true or not, we had soĀ much fun. šŸ”®

šŸ—“ļø November 28, 2024 – Family Thanksgiving Day

Mike planned our meal with care—he picked up a few essentials from the store and surprised me with sugar donuts when he got home šŸ©. He’s been encouraging me to eat, especially since I haven’t had much of an appetite and have been feeling tired. One of his sweet ways to cheer me up? Sugar donuts that totallyĀ hit the spot šŸ’›.

Since it was just the three of us, we decided to keep things simple and not go overboard with the food. I made a green bean casserole 🄫, and Mike whipped up his famous broccoli and rice cheese casserole šŸ§€šŸ„¦. We also prepared oven-baked ham šŸ–, roasted chicken šŸ—, and a few comforting sides: mac and cheese 🧈, mashed potatoes šŸ„”, and Brussels sprouts 🄬.

I didn’t eat much—just a few bites of green bean casserole and chicken—but I was already feeling full and a bit fatigued. After dinner, we curled up on the couch and watched TV until I eventually crashed 😓.
